The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world by surprise. Healthcare organizations, providers and vendors in the healthcare space have been forced to adapt to the new and rapidly-changing landscape that the public health emergency has forced upon all of us. This webinar will identify and touch upon some of the legal issues unique to healthcare that have arisen from the pandemic, including credentialing and privileging; HIPAA guidance on contacting former COVID patients about blood and plasma donation; telehealth reliance; remote monitoring; litigation issues; and more. The healthcare industry needs to review and understand these important issues as they reflect upon their handling of the pandemic thus far, preparation for a possible second wave and the new normal facing all of us as we move into the second half of the year.
