Telehealth and associated technologies are changing the way care is delivered to underserved individuals and populations. The number of telehealth projects has grown from approximately 350,000 in 2013 to over 7 million in 2018. Telehealth visits have skyrocketed by over 340% in the last few years alone, and video consultations are estimated to be a $34B market by the year 2020. As the number of telehealth projects skyrockets, the need to understand the telehealth management in healthcare is urgent.

Telehealth project failures can pose significant financial, patient safety, and quality of care consequences for healthcare organizations. In this presentation, the speakers will discuss the challenges and success factors in the management of telehealth projects. Using research and experience, he will describe practical, pro-active steps that institutions can take to mitigate telehealth project failures and increase success.
