The Programming Committee leads the development of engaging networking opportunities and high‑value professional development events that strengthen member connections and advance the organization’s mission. The committee identifies relevant topics, collaborates with partners and speakers, and curates a calendar of programs that foster learning, innovation, and community across the chapter. Through thoughtful planning and inclusive design, the committee ensures events reflect member needs, elevate industry expertise, and build a vibrant, connected professional network.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee supports the growth of our digital health community by strengthening member engagement and developing the next generation of health information and technology leaders. This committee helps cultivate a strong, connected membership base that advances digital health across the region through: 

• Mentoring — Offers programs and connections that support career development for HIT professionals, including those pursuing leadership roles. Mentoring activities align with HIMSS priorities such as digital transformation, interoperability, and emerging technologies.

• Member Engagement — Oversees the Organization Affiliate Program and initiatives that expand participation from provider organizations. The committee builds relationships with health systems and encourages active involvement across clinical, operational, and technical teams. 

Nursing Committee

The Nursing Committee advances the role of nurses in digital health by supporting professional development, leadership growth, and the effective use of health and digital technologies across care settings. The committee brings together nursing professionals who are shaping the future of clinical practice through innovation, informatics, and technology‑enabled care.

• Nursing Professional Development — Leads programs, discussions, and learning opportunities that strengthen nursing competencies in health information and technology. The committee supports nurses pursuing leadership roles in informatics, digital transformation, workflow optimization, and technology‑enabled care delivery.

• Digital Health & Technology Engagement — Promotes awareness and adoption of digital tools, emerging technologies, and HIMSS priorities within the nursing community. The committee fosters collaboration between clinical and technical teams, highlights best practices, and showcases innovations that enhance patient care and nursing practice.
